Private Universities set-up in the State The Governor of Uttarakhand shall be the Visitor of the University. The Visitor shall, when present, preside at the convocation of the University for conferring degrees and diplomas. The Visitor shall have the following powers namely : To call for any paper or information relating to the affairs of the University. On the basis of the information received by the Visitor, if he is satisfied that any order, proceeding, of decision taken by any authority of the University is not in conformity with the Act, Statutes or Rules, he may issue such directions as he may deem fit in the interest of the University and the directions so issued shall be complied with by all concerned. Every proposal for the conferment of an honorary degree or distinction shall be subject to the approval of the Visitor

The Governor shall be the Chancellor of the University. He shall by virtue of his office, be the Head of the University and shall, when present, preside at the convocation of the University. Every proposal for conferment of an honorary degree shall be subject to the confirmation of the Chancellor. It shall be duty of the Vice-Chancellor to furnish such information or records relating to the administration of the affairs of the University as the Chancellor may call for. The Chancellor shall have such other powers as may be conferred on him by or under the University Act or the Regulations.

Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test will be held on 27 June 2013 and 28 June 2013. The UPTET 2013 will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will be held on 27 June for Primary Level between 10:00 am to 12:30 PM. The second session will start from 2:30 to 5:00 pm. On 28 June 2013, the first session for higher secondary level will start from 10:00 am to 12:30 and second session will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
